Herb Goldberg, Ph.D., is a practicing psychotherapist and world renowned author on gender. When feminism first gained a public voice in popular psychology in the 70's, he took the flip side, defining who the new male was and explaining what such a man wants in a mate. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Adelphi University. Since 1965 he has been on the faculty of California State University, where he is currently professor of psychology. In addition, he has had a private practice with individuals, couples, and families for over 30 years and conducts workshops across the country. He is a contributor to numerous professional publications, including AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGIST, THE JOURNAL OF ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY, and CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST. Dr. Goldberg is the author of seven highly successful self-help books which have sold world-wide in numerous languages.
