Margaret ‘Maggie’ Allison, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Muskegon, Michigan, specializing in adults and adolescents. Dr. Allison received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, where her dissertation was on women sexual assault and abuse victims. As a clinician, she has worked in an intensive outpatient program for the treatment of substance abuse; an inpatient psychiatric unit in a community hospital, and as a therapist and administrator in the Michigan Community Mental Health system. Additionally she has worked for the Veterans Administration treating war-related mental, emotional and adjustment problems; in a Congressionally-mandated study helping to develop diagnostic criteria for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; plus work and writing on drug addictions, depression and suicide prevention.
