C. B. Scrignar, M.S., M.D., APMC, received his training in medicine and psychiatry at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Scrignar studied behavior therapy at Temple University under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Wolpe. This experience stimulated his interest in behavior therapy and he began teaching courses on the subject at Tulane University School of Medicine and School of SocialWork. He has written extensively about behavior therapy, forensic psychiatry, stress and anxiety disorders, drug addiction, human sexuality, crime and delinquency and hypnosis. He has written three books, including: From Panic to Peace of Mind; Stress Strategies; and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: Diagnosis, Treatment and Legal Issues. Currently, Dr. Scrignar is in the private practice of psychiatry and is a clinical professor of psychiatry at Tulane University School of Medicine and an adjunct professor of social work at Tulane University School of Social Work.
